This morning we slept in a little bit but when we woke up we walked down to Sainte-Chapelle. It was a pretty small chapel but the stained glass covered about 80% of the walls and was really cool looking. We were lucky we had a sunny day because it definitely added to the impressiveness of the windows.
After spending some time here we caught the metro up to Montmartre. We walked through the Sacre Cœur and Suzanne and I climbed the 300 steps in a narrow short spiral staircase up to the dome. The views from up there were great since you could see the entirety of Paris including the Eiffel Tower, something you obviously miss when you're on the Eiffel Tower.
When we go back down we navigated our way through the throngs of street artists trying to draw everyone and to a small restaurant to get lunch. There were a lot of souvenir shops around so we walked through those and then we walked through the Artist Market where a bunch of artist have their work on display and for sale or will sketch you and sell you the sketch. After checking that out we walked downhill to the Moulin Rouge and took some pictures. Suz and I walked back up around the Sacre Cœur to look around the shops some more and Shannon and my mom took the metro back to Rue de Rivoli to do some shopping (although it turned out that most things were closed already). We all met back up at the apartment about a little bit later.
After resting a bit back at the apartment we walked down to the Pont Neuf for our Seine River cruise. It was an hour long and very enjoyable, we went down to the Eiffel Tower and back up past the Île Saint-Louis before returning. After our cruise we grabbed some dinner near our apartment and some ice cream before heading in for the night.
