We took the tram to our hostel and one of the tram workers was very funny and did not hold back in making fun of us. Finally we got to the hostel around 1130 but we couldn't check in until 2 so we locked up our bags and headed out to explore the are around our hostel. We found a local street market and walke through there, grabbed lunch, and relaxed at a park (apparently something we feel obliged to do at least once per city). We finally checked into out hostel and the rooms turne out to be pretty nice. Brandon and I got shafted because we got stuck in a 6 person room with four randos (2 Brazilians and 2 Bostonians) while the other five managed a 5 person room with two private bathrooms.
We were all pretty tired from the hectic and early morning so we relaxed and napped for a while before getting ready and headed out to our tour of the redlight district.
Our tour guide was really funny and the tour was great and we got to see the whole thing. After the tour we grabbed a bite to eat and hung out and walked around down there for the rest of the night.

I really dont think any explaination of the place does it justice, it is just something that is so different we cant really understand (I know I didn't fully comprehend until tonight) but it's really fun place to be. We decided to walk back even though this city is extremely confusing and difficult to navigate so halfway back we decided to grab a taxi to take us back. Well the guy was an idiot at took us to the wrong place then charged us a high fare when he got back to our place, turns out where he dropped us off was still like 3/4 of a mile from our hostel even though he said it was around the corner he dropped us at. We were idiots to allow it to happen but I think we were just all so ready to get back we didn't care what it took.
I can't believe the flyers game though, complete nonsense they should have won. We finally got to see some of the replay at the bar we ate dinner at and even though I knew the outcome I felt they should have won.
Enjoy and be careful
