Rome Day 1

Today started of on the train about 45 minutes outside of Rome. When we arrived in the city we trekked to what we thought was out hostel but it was actually one we were going to book but not the one we did. We had to go all the way back to pretty much where we started to find our hostel that we did book. The hostel wasn't the nicest (especially the showers) but it will do for the 4 days we're here.



We grabbed some lunch and decided to walk to the Colleseum since it is only about a 15 minute walk from our place.






One of the people setting up tours was setting up was from Jersey and majored in biology at Stockton which we thought was weird, and her friend who also worked there was cousins with the Bryan's. We decided to go on their tour which included the Colleseum, Palantine, and Forum.





We started on our palantine tour and about 20 minutes in our tour guide (who had the exact voice of the guy from Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous) got kicked out of the place and preumably arrested or fined because he did not have the proper credentials because he didn't pay taxes. It was a very entertaining ordeal but it meant we had to show ourselves the rest of the area which was big.

It was a long day so we headed back to our hostel to get cleaned up and get dinner. We got some great Italian pasta (right up there with olive garden). We took the night bus back but it took probably over an hour to get to where we needed to be so we were exhausted by the time we got back and got to bed.
