Leaving Prague/Munich Day 1

Today started off kind of early as we had a train to catch to Munich. We got to the train station with plenty of time to spare but they didn't give our train a platform until 6 minutes before it was supposed to leave which put us into a little rush at that point. During the ride we somehow got delayed 80 minutes but I'm not exactly sure how. Regardless it turned a 6 hr trip into a 7 and a half hour trip.

When we finally got to Munich we found our hostel within about 5 minutes because it is right next to the central train station which is very convenient. The hostel was really nice compared to some of the others we've been in. We each have a bathroom in our own rooms with a clean shower so that is a much needed change up.

None of us had really eaten all day because the train ran out of sandwichs and at by the time we got settled we headed straight out for our meal. We went very authentic German and ate pizza and pasta.

When we got back everyone showered and got ready to go out. We went downstairs to the bar in our hostel and watched the NK-Brazil match and met some other people staying in our hostel. One of the girls was Brazilian and Steve was flirting with her quite a but which I thought was ridiculous considering it is world cup time..but he has to live with that. After the game we were going to go out but we ran into some friends from Delaware that happend to be in Munich last night so we ended up hanging out with them just outside and in their hostel bar since it was right next door.

For a travel day, where we are usually sluggish, it turned out to be a very fun day and I'm excited for round 2 tomorrow.

  1. Adam - when it comes to women there may be an exception. However, Steve already wears their jersey, now he's hanging out with them.
    What's next? Oh no...

    Go Argentina!
